Samsung Set to Launch Tri-Fold Smartphone Alongside Galaxy Z Series

Huawei made quite some noise when it launched its tri-fold Mate XT smartphone. Now, it seems that South Korean tech giant Samsung is also gearing up to join the tri-fold race. If reports are to be believed, Samsung can unveil its tri-fold smartphone this year itself. A major differentiator here can be the fact that Samsung’s device will fold differently, as per early reports. This innovation aims to help protect the flexible screens when closed.

Samsung is reportedly aggressively working on its tri-fold device and can unveil it between July and September this year. This time frame also aligns with Samsung’s foldable launch, i.e., the Galaxy Z Flip and Galaxy Z Fold series, making it a highly anticipated event.

As far as the tri-fold production is concerned, it is set to commence in the second quarter. The device is rumored to feature a massive unfolded screen size of 9.9 to 10 inches. The only catch here is that this phone will have limited availability, with only around 200,000 units planned for release.

When will Samsung launch its tri-fold smartphone?

We might see the tri-fold by Samsung in July along with the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and the Galaxy Z Fold 6. This time around, Samsung might remove the digitizer from the Galaxy Z Fold 7, potentially making it thinner to compete with rivals like Honor, whose Magic V3 is a really slim phone.

In addition to the tri-fold, there is potential for a new addition to the fold lineup with the Galaxy Z Flip FE, a budget-friendly foldable powered by the Exynos 2400e chipset. This expansion indicates Samsung’s commitment to catering to a broader audience.

In total, four foldables are expected from Samsung this year, making it an exciting time for tech enthusiasts. Keep an eye out for these innovative devices and stay updated with the latest offers and deals on foldable smartphones at Looffers.com.
