Tragic Accident Claims Lives of Five Nepalese Tourists
NEW DELHI: In a heartbreaking incident, five individuals from Nepal, including three women, lost their lives on Saturday when their SUV overturned in Bihar while returning from the Mahakumbh in Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh.
The unfortunate event occurred in Muzaffarpur district when the speeding SUV attempted to avoid colliding with a motorcycle, resulting in the vehicle flipping multiple times. The SUV was carrying nine passengers at the time of the accident.
According to eyewitness accounts, the driver took a sharp turn in a bid to evade the motorcycle. Deputy Superintendent of Police Vineeta Sinha reported that all occupants hailed from the Mahottari district of Nepal.

– Mantarni Devi (45)
– Archana Thakur (30)
– Balkrishna Jha (60)
– Indu Devi (55)
– The driver, whose name remains undisclosed.
While five individuals died on the spot, four others sustained serious injuries and have been transported to a hospital in Patna for urgent medical attention.
