On December 30, Telangana’s Chief Minister Revanth Reddy extended a warm welcome to Satya Nadella, the CEO of Microsoft, in Hyderabad. A video shared by the news agency ANI showcased the traditional shawl welcome and the presentation of a memento, marking the commencement of their discussions with other government dignitaries.

Reddy also outlined ambitious infrastructure development plans, including the Regional Ring Road, radial roads, and the establishment of new manufacturing clusters. The aim is to cultivate a large pool of industry-ready talent through institutions like the Young India Skills University.

Hyderabad has witnessed significant growth in Microsoft’s workforce, which has expanded to around 10,000 employees. The company has also invested in a 600 MW data center capacity within the state. Nadella praised Reddy’s vision for enhancing skills and infrastructure, emphasizing that these factors could elevate Hyderabad into the top 50 cities worldwide for economic growth.
