The Sunrisers Eastern Cape (SEC) have once again proven their mettle in the SA20 playoffs, maintaining an extraordinary 6-0 record over three seasons. Having clinched victories in the Eliminator and Qualifier 2, they secured their place in the final by defeating Paarl Royals by eight wickets.

In a thrilling encounter at Centurion, SEC chased down a target of 176 runs with remarkable ease. Their captain, Aiden Markram, celebrated the victory with a signature cover drive, but it was the partnership between Tony de Zorzi and Jordan Hermann that truly steered the ship. De Zorzi scored an impressive 78 runs off 49 balls, while Hermann remained unbeaten at 69 from 48 balls.
