Rohit Sharma and Team India Depart for Dubai Ahead of ICC Champions Trophy

Rohit Sharma Leads India to Dubai for ICC Champions Trophy

New Delhi: Indian cricket captain Rohit Sharma, along with his teammates, has departed for Dubai as they prepare for the ICC Champions Trophy, commencing on February 19. The team was seen checking in at Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport in Mumbai, where fans eagerly awaited to catch a glimpse of their cricketing heroes.
As the excitement builds, all Group A matches, including India’s clashes against Bangladesh, Pakistan, and New Zealand, will be held at the Dubai International Stadium. India’s campaign kicks off on February 20 against Bangladesh, followed by a high-stakes encounter with Pakistan on February 23, and concludes with their final group match against New Zealand on March 2.
Unfortunately, the Indian squad will miss key players Jasprit Bumrah and Yashasvi Jaiswal due to injuries. Bumrah is recovering from a lower back injury, and his absence will be felt as he has been a vital part of the bowling lineup. Fast-bowling all-rounder Harshit Rana has been named as his replacement, while wrist-spinner Varun Chakravarthy steps in for Jaiswal.

India’s Squad for the ICC Champions Trophy:

Rohit Sharma (c), Shubman Gill, Virat Kohli, Shreyas Iyer, KL Rahul, Rishabh Pant, Hardik Pandya, Axar Patel, Washington Sundar, Kuldeep Yadav, Harshit Rana, Mohammad Shami, Arshdeep Singh, Ravindra Jadeja, Varun Chakravarthy.
