Despite a vigorous campaign led by Rahul Gandhi against Arvind Kejriwal, Congress has once again failed to secure a seat in the Delhi assembly, marking a hat trick of zeros. Once a dominant force in Delhi politics, Congress ruled for 15 consecutive years from 1998 to 2013, but has faced rejection in the last three assembly elections.
On a brighter note, the party recorded a nearly 2% increase in its vote share compared to the 2020 assembly elections, where it plummeted to below 5%.
