During the event, Pakistan’s charge d’affaires Saad Warraich expressed a desire for peaceful ties with India, suggesting that a new dawn could emerge through enhanced mutual understanding. He emphasized the importance of addressing mutual concerns and resolving longstanding issues, including the contentious topic of Jammu and Kashmir (J&K).
Invitation Status Unclear
While it remains unclear if Pakistan formally invited India to the celebrations, the customary practice is to have a chief guest from the host government. Last year, Pakistan extended invitations to several Indian government officials, but none attended.
