Harbhajan Singh Comments on India’s Champions Trophy Prospects Without Jasprit Bumrah
Former Indian spinner Harbhajan Singh recently shared his insights on the impact of Jasprit Bumrah’s absence from the upcoming Champions Trophy. Despite the setback caused by Bumrah’s lower back injury, which led to his withdrawal just a week before the tournament, Harbhajan maintains that India remains a strong favorite.
In a recent YouTube discussion, Harbhajan emphasized the importance of Bumrah, stating, “Bumrah is a big force, who can win matches. Even without Bumrah, there are a lot of experienced players like Arshdeep, Shami, Kuldeep, and Jadeja.” He believes that while Bumrah’s absence will certainly be felt, especially in the final overs when the opposition is pushing for runs, India’s squad depth and talent can still lead them to success.
India’s bowling attack, led by Mohammed Shami and supported by Arshdeep Singh and Harshit Rana, will have to step up in Bumrah’s absence. Harbhajan pointed out that the team has shown impressive form following their recent ODI series victory over England, where they swept the series 3-0.
