Mobilising Beneficiaries for PM Modi’s Event in Silvassa
Doctors, community health officers, ASHAs, anganwadi workers, and multipurpose workers in Silvassa have been tasked with mobilising beneficiaries of government schemes for the inauguration of the new 450-bed hospital, NAMO MERI, by PM Modi on March 7.
Preparations Underway
Preparations for this significant event began over two weeks prior, with medical officers appointed in each of the 20 panchayats and 14 wards in Dadra and Nagar Haveli. They have been instructed to conduct extensive information, education, and communication (IEC) activities to promote public attendance. The medical superintendent emphasized “word of mouth publicity” in an order issued on February 18.
To ensure thorough mobilization, designated personnel are required to document their efforts in a Google sheet, including the number of meetings held, social media messages sent, and related photographs.
Staff Regulations and Compliance
In light of the VVIP visit, the dean of NAMO MERI has mandated that no leaves will be granted to faculty, tutors, residents, and non-teaching staff until further notice. A strong warning has been issued regarding non-compliance, which will be “viewed seriously.”
Mobilization Efforts by Health Centres
According to directives from the chief medical officer, over 30 doctors from 12 primary health centres have been designated as nodal officers to coordinate transport arrangements for beneficiaries. Each health centre has been instructed to mobilise 1,000-2,000 beneficiaries, complete with detailed bus micro-plans that include vehicle numbers and driver contact information.
ASHAs, anganwadi workers, and multipurpose health workers will serve as primary bus coordinators, while government school teachers will assist as secondary coordinators.
