The couple’s lifeless bodies were found in a shocking state: Jeril hanging in the kitchen, while Anne lay motionless on a bed in her bridal dress. According to the Nagpur Police, it appears that Jeril allowed Anne to take her life first, and after removing her body from the rope, he covered her with cloth and placed flowers before taking his own life.

In their final moments, Jeril and Anne documented their wishes through social media and left behind two suicide notes along with an informal will. They expressed no blame towards anyone for their deaths and urged their family to ensure a smooth distribution of their properties.

As per their last wish, the couple was buried hand in hand in a common coffin at the Jaripatka Catholic cemetery. Vijay Alick Michael, a third-generation undertaker, noted that this was the first time he made a joint coffin for a couple, fulfilling their wish to be together even in death.
