Tragic Discovery in Rohtak: Congress Worker Found Murdered
A shocking incident has unfolded in Rohtak, Haryana, where the body of an unidentified woman was discovered stuffed in a suitcase near the Sampla bus stand. The police were alerted on Friday, leading to an immediate investigation.
Identity of the Deceased
Congress MLA Bharat Bhushan Batra has claimed that the deceased is Himani Narwal, a dedicated Congress worker who participated in Rahul Gandhi’s Bharat Jodo Yatra and worked closely with prominent leaders such as Bhupinder Hooda and Deepinder Hooda during elections.
Preliminary Findings
Forensic teams have assessed that the victim was a young woman aged between 20 and 22 years. Notably, she was found with a scarf around her neck and mehendi on her hands. Sampla police station SHO Bijendra Singh stated that preliminary evidence suggests homicide, as the body was abandoned on the roadside. “We are investigating this matter and further action will be taken after registering a case,” he noted.

Haryana Congress president Bhupinder Singh Hooda expressed his outrage, calling the incident a severe failure of law and order in the state. “The news of the barbaric murder of active Congress worker Himani Narwal is extremely sad and shocking. This in itself is a blot on the law and order situation of the state,” he posted on X.

Hooda demanded a high-level impartial investigation into the murder and urged the government to ensure justice for the victim’s family, insisting on the harshest punishment for the culprits involved.
