Aurangzeb Irrelevant Today, Tomb Issue Matters: RSS Chief Spokesperson

Aurangzeb’s Relevance in Contemporary India: Insights from RSS Leadership

NAGPUR: In a recent press conference, RSS chief spokesperson Sunil Ambekar made a significant statement regarding Mughal emperor Aurangzeb, declaring him “not relevant” in today’s context. This comment comes in the wake of the Nagpur riots, which were ignited by demands to raze Aurangzeb’s tomb. Ambekar emphasized, “The glorification of Aurangzeb should stop. The tomb issue is not irrelevant; Aurangzeb is.”

Addressing Violence and Society

Ambekar denounced any form of violence, stating, “Any kind of violence is not good for society.” He assured that police investigations into the Nagpur riots are underway, indicating a commitment to maintaining peace and order.

Upcoming RSS Annual Conclave

During the press conference in Bengaluru, Ambekar announced the upcoming Akhil Bhartiya Pratinidhi Sabha scheduled from March 21 to 23. This annual gathering will see the participation of senior Sangh functionaries, including RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat. The focus will be on the centenary celebrations of RSS, marking a century of service and commitment to the nation.

Key Resolutions and Initiatives

One of the key highlights of the conclave will be the passing of two important resolutions: one addressing Hindu persecution in Bangladesh and another commemorating RSS’s century-long journey. Furthermore, a special statement will honor Karnataka’s warrior queen, Rani Abbakka, recognizing her 500-year-old legacy.

Training and Outreach Programs

In line with its expansion strategy, the RSS plans to conduct 95 prashikshan vargs (training camps) across India. A nationwide outreach program led by Bhagwat is also in the pipeline, showcasing RSS’s dedication to social harmony and civic duty.
