In an exciting announcement, Faf du Plessis, the seasoned South African batter, has been appointed as the vice-captain of Delhi Capitals (DC) for the upcoming 2025 Indian Premier League (IPL) season. He previously captained Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) from 2022 to 2024 and has a wealth of knowledge from leading South Africa at the international level. His record at RCB includes 42 matches with a balanced win-loss ratio, reaching the playoffs twice.
Now, du Plessis is poised to be a key player in DC’s lineup, collaborating closely with a revamped coaching staff that includes notable figures like Hemang Badani as head coach and Kevin Pietersen as mentor.
