BJP’s Mahesh Nagar Elected Unopposed in Ambala Sadar
In a significant development for local governance, Mahesh Nagar, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) candidate for Ward 24 in Ambala Sadar Municipal Council (MC), has secured his position unopposed. His only rival, independent candidate Kiran, faced disqualification due to discrepancies in her nomination documents.
A Warm Welcome at the BJP Office
Following his unopposed election, Nagar made an important visit to the BJP office on Nicholson Road in Ambala Cantonment. There, he sought blessings from Haryana cabinet minister Anil Vij, who along with BJP workers, welcomed him with a floral garland.

In conjunction with Nagar’s election, a meeting of the BJP’s election committee for the Ambala Sadar MC elections was convened at the party’s central election office. Assistant returning officer Ambala Cantonment tehsildar Priyanka confirmed that the scrutiny of nomination papers took place earlier. For the position of MC president, four out of five nominations were accepted, while 113 of 114 nominations were accepted for MC members.
