AAP Accuses Election Commission of Withholding Poll Data, Launches Transparency Website

AAP Accuses Election Commission of Withholding Voting Data

In a significant move, the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has accused the Election Commission (EC) of failing to share essential polling data, prompting the party to launch its own website aimed at enhancing transparency in the electoral process.

Arvind Kejriwal’s Statement

AAP chief Arvind Kejriwal took to Twitter, stating, “EC has refused to upload Form 17C and the number of votes polled per booth in each assembly despite several requests.” This claim has raised eyebrows and ignited discussions on the need for transparency in elections.

Launch of Transparent Elections Website

In response to the EC’s inaction, AAP has launched transparentelections.in. The website claims to provide access to Form 17C for every assembly, detailing votes polled at each booth. Kejriwal emphasized, “Throughout the day, we will present the data in a tabulated format so that every voter can access this information.”

Transparency vs EC’s Silence

The AAP insists that the responsibility of publishing this data lies with the Election Commission. Kejriwal remarked, “This is something the Election Commission should have done in the interest of transparency, but it is unfortunate that they are refusing to do it.” As of now, the Election Commission has not responded to these allegations.
