NEW DELHI: In a heart-wrenching incident, Olympic medalist Manu Bhaker’s maternal grandmother and uncle tragically lost their lives in a road accident in Haryana’s Charkhi Dadri on Sunday. According to police reports, the two-wheeler carrying Bhaker’s relatives collided with a car, resulting in their untimely demise.

Assistant Sub-Inspector Suresh Kumar provided details about the accident, stating, “We received information regarding the collision between a car and a scooty. Both individuals on the scooty died, and we could not locate the driver of the car at the scene.”

Manu Bhaker is celebrated for her outstanding achievements in shooting, having made history at the Paris 2024 Olympics. She became the first Indian post-Independence athlete to win two medals in a single edition of the Games.
