NEW DELHI: The Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP) has announced its second list of candidates for the upcoming Delhi assembly elections, featuring 29 candidates just weeks before the polls. This follows the first list, which also included 29 names.

The BJP’s Central Election Committee (CEC) finalized this list during a high-level meeting attended by prominent leaders, including Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah. Notable candidates include Kapil Mishra contesting from Karawal Nagar and Neelam Pahalwan from Najafgarh. The former AAP MLA, now with BJP, has been fielded from Bijwasan as per the first list.

In Shakur Basti, Karnail Singh from BJP will face AAP’s former minister Satyendra Jain, making it one of the most anticipated contests of the elections.
Election Timeline
The Delhi assembly elections are scheduled for February 5, with results to be announced on February 8. Candidates must file their nominations by January 17, with scrutiny on January 18 and the withdrawal deadline set for January 20.
